Seller’s Discretionary Earnings (SDE) represents the total financial benefit that a single full time owner-operator would derive from a business on an annual basis. As a business owner, the SDE is allocated to 1) pay your salary as an owner 2) pay down your loan 3) pay back your initial cash investment. It is also referred to as Owner’s Cash Flow.
